The beach is a funny place. You never know what you'll find there. The condition of the sand, sky, or surf can be vastly different from one moment to the next.

I walked in the rain for a brief time this morning and then the sky cleared enough for the sun to peek through the clouds. The most astonishing thing is the six different colors of blue in the sky and sea regardless of weather.

And, for my New England friends, rain isn't a detriment here, at least not this time of year. It was 80 degrees at 7:00 am when I went for my walk. There were people walking their dogs on the beach and on the sidewalk (overlooking the beach) a guy was changing a flat tire on his road bicycle. Nobody seemed to mind the rain.

Now, just a few hours later, the sky is bright blue. I'll finish up with my Pug work, go for a swim in the ocean and see what's happening at the beach.
